Ron has called Nova Scotia home for most of his life, with over half of it here in Central Nova Scotia.  He served rural Nova Scotians with personal financial services for 20 years prior to working in Regional Economic Development for almost a Decade.  The last five years Ron has assumed the role of Manager: Business Development  for Masstown Market Limited, a role which continues to expand, challenge and delight.

After surviving three daughters under three, now all in their twenties, he and his wife of 30+ years enjoy cottage life and spoiling grandchildren.

Matthew Mossman is the sales manager with Cat Country and Big Dog radio and digital. Having worked in radio since 2003, Matthew has been the sales manager of the Truro radio stations since 2012.  One of the best parts of Matthew’s job is working with local businesses on marketing solutions.  Working with the Chamber has also given Matthew the opportunity to work and meet local business owners in Colchester County. Colchester is a vibrant area and Matthew hopes over his time with the board he is able to continue to put forth the great story we have to tell in this area. Matthew is happily married to Lisa Lane with their two cats, Poppy & Pepper.

Joanne was born and raised in the Truro area and is a graduate of University of New Brunswick (Fredericton) with a Bachelor of Business Administration with an Honours in Accounting and a minor in Economics.  After graduation Joanne worked for Bell Aliant in New Brunswick and after making the decision to move home to the Truro area began working with WBLI (merged with MNP LLP in January, 2017).  She wrote the Uniform Final Evaluation in 2011 and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2013.  Joanne has been with the firm for over 6 years and has gained valuable experience working with a variety of clients in different industries.


Joanne enjoys being an active member of the community and is currently Treasurer for the Colchester Women’s Recreational Hockey League and assists in organizing the RECC Women’s Hockey League.  She is a proud member of  the Board of Directors and members of the Truro and Colchester Chamber of Commerce to grow the business community in her hometown.

Malcolm was born and raised in Mississauga, Ontario, graduating from McMaster University in 2005 with a Bachelors of Commerce degree. Subsequently, Malcolm earned his CPA, CA in 2008 and completed his In-depth tax course in 2012. Recently Malcolm and his family decided to move across the country and settle in the Truro area to work and live.

Malcolm joined PwC Canada in 2013 and works as a Business Adviser, specializing in Private Company Services. He works closely with small business and entrepreneurial clients, bringing a holistic approach to accounting and tax compliance services for shareholders, their families and their businesses.
